A 66-year-old man will face court on Friday after being charged with sending indecent and sexualised material to a teenage girl on the Coffs Coast.
Detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad began investigating, after reports a 15-year-old girl had received sexually-explicit messages from a man known to her.
Detectives arrested the man at a home in Boambee East just after 2pm on Thursday.
During a search of his home, police found mobile phones, electronic storage devices and documentation. These items were taken for forensic examination.
He was taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station, where he was charged.
Police will allege that the man started having sexualised conversations with the girl through social media in January 2019.
