Dozens picked up the paddles for a good cause in Carrington on Sunday, racing to raise money for local women and children’s refuge, Trish’s House.
It’s the third year Newy Paddlers have put on the charity event.
“It gives women and their families, particularly their children, somewhere that they can actually go, so there’s a lot of merit in supporting such a good charity.” – Charly Wellard, Newy Paddlers President.
All money raised from the day will be used to support victims of domestic violence.
