There was a lucky escape for the driver of a van at Chinderah on the state’s Far North Coast this morning.
Hydraulic tools were used to free the man, after his van left the road and crashed into trees on Tweed Coast Road at around 5 o’clock.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics, before being taken to hospital.
