DRONE SHOT FROM SKY – LEADS TO DRUGS CHARGES

A 46-year-old man has been charged, after he allegedly shot down a drone being flown by a real estate agent on the Mid North Coast.

Officers were called to Burrell Creek west of Taree on Thursday morning, when they searched a property where it’s alleged the gun had been fired from.

The search uncovered 187 cannabis plants, as well as 20 kilograms of dried cannabis.

An unregistered .22 calibre rifle was also located nearby.

The man was charged with a number of drug and firearm related offences.
