Prime Minister, Julia Gillard has toured the Hunter Region today, spruiking the government’s carbon tax.
This morning she met with workers of Mandalong long-wall coal mine in the Hunter Valley.
The PM guaranteed no workers will lose their jobs because of the carbon tax, and says the mine will remain open for its 25 year lifespan.
