MAN BEHIND BARS FOLLOWING HIGH-SPEED POLICE PURSUIT
A man has been sentenced to 18 months in jail following a high-speed pursuit near Black Mountain.
Police say about 4:30 on Saturday, the man failed to stop when they attempted to pull him over.
After reaching speeds of up to 180 kilometres per hour, he crashed through a fence on Puddledock Road near Armidale.
He faced Armidale Local Court today, where he pleaded guilty to a string of charges including dangerous driving and refusal to stop for police.
He’ll be eligible for parole in 12 months.
