Unexpected dangerous surf conditions saw the majority of southern Central Coast beaches closed today.
Wamberal, North Avoca, Copacabana and Killcare were all closed, with swells pushing one-point-five metres.
It was a blow for holiday makers, who were forced to watch from the shore and make the most of what little water was available.
But the rough conditions didn’t deter some keen surfers.
