HUMBLE MEAT PIE TAKEN TO NEW HEIGHTS

A group from the University of New South Wales has taken the humble meat pie to new heights over the Hunter Valley.

The group attached a pie to a balloon at Merriwa, and it was then taken more than 30 kilometres above sea level.

And with that, they achieved a pie-in-the-sky dream – setting a new world record for ‘pie altitude.’

Next on the agenda, attaching a pie to a rocket.
