CENTRAL COAST SURFER TAKES OUT PORT STEPHENS PRO MEN’S FINAL

Central Coast surfer Caleb Tancred, has won his first world qualifying series event, taking out the 1000 point Port Stephens Pro this afternoon.

Taking on Lennox Head’s Mikey McDonagh in the final, Tancred started well, posting a 7.3 on his first ride.

McDonagh found a five and a high four in the small conditions, but when Tancred bagged a 6.8, the title was his.

Earlier in the day, Hunter surfers Morgan Cibilic and James McMorland were bundled out in the first heat of round four.
