A tender has been awarded for the construction of a long awaited health centre in Yamba.
It comes ten years after the parcel of land that will house the $5.5-million facility was approved.
The centre will provide a range of health services including mental health treatment, nursing and aged care.
It’s expected to be be built by the end of this year, and open to patients in 2014.
