It’s been a nervous wait for Knights fans, but it looks like Kalyn Ponga will face the Cowboys in Townsville tonight.
The star fullback was forced from the training field after rolling his ankle on Tuesday, and was in serious doubt to face his former club.
He’ll undergo another precautionary fitness test tomorrow morning, but it’s likely the 20-year-old will return after four weeks out with a separate hamstring issue.
The news isn’t as good for Connor Watson though.
The five-eighth has been ruled out, unable to get on top of a groin injury, Jack Cogger will replace him in the halves.
