GAV’S WEATHER | GETTING WETTER ALONG THE COAST

The country is still mostly sunny and dry.

Along the coast, the moderate onshore winds and cloud cover are helping to produce showers which are set to increase.

As the high squeezes into the Tasman, the onshore coastal winds will become more direct and help increase the coastal cloud cover, helping to create increased shower activity as the trough offshore deepens.

The wet weather along the coast is going to increase, with some heavy showers likely.

Some of this rain will now make it over the ranges and spill across the north-west. Another burst of inland rain will arrive on Sunday.
