BONE MARROW DONORS NEEDED TO SAVE YOUNG BOY

Little local boy, Ryven Harris is alive today because of the kindness of everyday Australians, who donated O-NEGATIVE blood.

Ryven has a rare disease known as Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome and was extremely sick during a recent family trip to Melbourne.

“He was fighting for his life for a good six weeks. It was everyday Australians that heard our plea on channel 9 and went down to the Red Cross that day because they had 5000 bookings within 24 hours.”

He’s home now – but things can go downhill very quickly, if Ryven falls ill again.

The only cure is a bone marrow transplant.

Sadly, parents Cindy and Robert just found out there’s no match on the registry for Ryven.

They’re urging Gold Coasters to sign up to become bone marrow donors.

You can find details at Ryven Foundation-dot-com.
