FUNDING ANNOUNCEMENT TO HELP ADDRESS RISE IN INDECENT ASSAULTS
New South Wales Attorney General Mark Speakman was in the Hunter today, announcing funding for a Sexting and Sexual Harassment Intervention program.
The $8000 will go towards a program aimed at tackling online sexual harassment, and will be delivered by the Victims of Crime Assistance League.
The government hopes it will help address a 9.8 per cent increase in reported indecent assault and other sexual offences in the Newcastle Police District over the past two years.
