A 26-year-old man has been refused bail after being charged with the murder of a Ballina woman in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police were called to a Johnson Drive address around 1.30am, where they found a severely injured 29-year-old woman in a bedroom.
Officers performed CPR until paramedics arrived, but the woman later died at Lismore Base Hospital.
A man was arrested at the scene and was later charged with one count of murder.
He’ll next appear in Lismore Local court tomorrow.
