An elderly cyclist has lost his life after crashing his bike in Thalgarrah, near Armidale, yesterday morning.
Around 8am, the man from the Lake Macquarie suburb of Valentine lost control of his bicycle after crossing the Balaclava Creek Bridge and hit his head on the road.
He was airlifted to Tamworth Hospital but was unable to be revived.
