Just two weeks out from local government elections, and the Liberals’ David Compton is out of the running to become Newcastle’s Lord Mayor.
The councillor was suspended by his own party last night after irregularities were found in his nomination forms.
The Liberal Party, also dumping all three of its Ward Three candidates for the same reason.
