HOSPITAL GIFT A TRUE LIFE SAVER

A group of Sydney cyclists has donned the lycra and pedalled into Port Macquarie, armed with a very special gift for the local hospital.

The C3 Cyclists completed the last leg of their 600-kilometre journey this morning, arriving at the racecourse to a warm welcome.

The ride raised $22,500 for a child resuscitation unit at the Base Hospital’s Emergency Department.

“The catalyst for this ride happened a few years ago when one of our rider’s child was in hospital and he noticed the equipment had been donated by the Humpty Dumpty Foundation, so really the idea was how do we go about making a difference.”

The ride is part of Humpty’s Resus Rescue – a life-saving initiative aimed at improving the quality of care of newborn babies across the state.

  1. This is a good story as far as it goes. Why couldn’t they say c3 church Oxford Falls riders rode into c3 church Port Macquarie this morning? It is a ride of compassion because they love God, love cycling and love raising money for the local community. Motivated by love of Jesus! It is so sad the news cannot report exactly what it is all about because they don’t know what to do with the Christian community of believers:(
