Community consultation sessions have wrapped up as plans progress towards Murrurundi’s new health service.
Feedback is now with the Department of Health – as a decision is yet to be made on whether a new facility will be built, or the current hospital upgraded.
“It really comes back to what works practically and so much as making sure that one, it’s cost effective and two, that the community’s wishes are taken into account,” Michael Johnsen, Member for Upper Hunter.
The state government has committed $10-million towards the project.
