WESTPAC CHOPPER RESCUES MAN AFTER BEING SWEPT OFF ROCKS

An 18-year-old man has been rescued by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter after being swept off rocks and into a sea cave this morning on the Central Coast.

The man was jumping off rocks with a group of friends at Snapper Point in the Munmorah State Conservation Area at around 11am this morning, when the incident occurred.

A helicopter paramedic was winched into the water and was able to secure the young man, before they were winched back to the aircraft.

It’s believed the man was uninjured.
