ROAD SPIKES BRING VEHICLE PURSUIT TO AN END IN THE NORTH WEST
Police have used road spikes to end a vehicle pursuit in the north-west of New South Wales.
The pursuit started around 3pm yesterday, when a Volkswagen Golf failed to stop for police on the New England Highway in Armidale.
Police pursued the vehicle through Uralla and Gloucester, before road spikes were used, brining the car to a stop on Bowmans Creek Road in Gloucester.
No one was injured during the incident.
The 21-year-old female driver was charged with Skye’s law, driving in a manner dangerous, exceeding the speed limit by over 45km/hr and driving an unregistered motor vehicle.
The 25-year-old male passenger was charged with dishonestly obtain property, using an unregistered motor vehicle, and driving a motor vehicle during disqualification period.
