After years of working in cramped conditions, Kempsey’s police officers are just months away from moving into their new station.
The two-storey building in Elbow Street is starting to take shape, after construction was affected by rain delays earlier in the year.
As well as giving the officers more room to move, the new station will feature extra electronic interview rooms fitted with state-of-the-art equipment.
It will also become the new base for the northern region’s domestic violence service.
