Former Lennox Head local Tyler Wright has taken out the Roxy Pro on the Gold Coast.
Now ranked number one in the world, the 22-year-old scored a total of 14.67, defeating the USA’s Courtney Conlouge on 10.94.
Wright shared an emotional embrace with her brother Owen, a world tour winner, after taking out the final.
Meanwhile Lennox Head’s Stu Kennedy narrowly missed out on a spot in the final by 0.03 points.
