A driver has slammed, into a police car, during a dramatic chase last night, which officers say started after the man ran a red light in Broadbeach.
The 33-year-old abandoned his car in Merrimac, after it became stuck in a paddock.
Police caught him while he was trying to escape on foot.
He was taken to Gold Coast Hospital with his 26-year-old female passenger- both are in custody.
