A Brisbane fisherman, wedged between rocks with a broken leg for two hours, is recovering in Tweed Hospital.
The father of two slipped on the Fingal wall of the Tweed Bar this morning, just minutes after arriving.
His distraught family could do nothing but watch, while rescue crews battled to free him.
“Agony, absolute agony….Trying to keep the kids away so they don’t see him and go to daddy – they were really upset too.”
The man had to be airlifted to safety.
