The Tinkler Sports Group has denied there’s a problem with its takeover of the Newcastle Knights, despite delays.
CEO Ken Edwards says he now expects the deal to be finalised by early next month.
Meanwhile, coach Rick Stone has confirmed he wants to stay on at the Knights next year as Wayne Bennett’s assistant.
Stone is poised to sign a new contract with the club.
