A person has died in a two vehicle collision on Putty Road, west of Newcastle this afternoon.
Police say the accident happened just before 2pm at Howes Valley, about 60 kms south west of Singleton.
It’s believed the vehicles crashed head on.
A man was trapped and died at the scene, while a woman was treated by paramedics before being taken to John Hunter Hospital.
