OIL SPILL AT TERRIGAL STALLS TRAFFIC

Fire and Rescue NSW was called in to deal with a large oil spill in Terrigal this morning.

Around 10am, crews arrived on scene and used sand to soak up the 1km spill, starting at Crowne Plaza and leading down to the busy Ocean Drive roundabout.

It’s believed a truck lost its sump plug, causing a leak.

Neither the truck nor its driver have been located.
