WITNESSES SOUGHT FOLLOWING PORT STEPHENS DEATH

Police are hoping to hear from drivers who may have witnessed an incident which involved the death of a man on Gan Gan Road at Port Stephens earlier this week.

Around 2:30pm on Wednesday, a motorist saw a man walking along Gan Gan Road in Anna Bay, before he collapsed.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, the 62-year-old died at the scene.

Police were told by witnesses that two other vehicles were seen near the man when he collapsed, and detectives are now appealing for those drivers to come forward.

One vehicle is believed to be a green and silver Mitsubishi Pajero, and the other is a green van.

It’s believed the 62-year-old suffered a medical episode, and the death is not being treated as suspicious.
