Police are appealing for any information after two rifles were stolen from a home in the Lake Macquarie area.
Authorities say between midday and 3.10 yesterday afternoon, a home on Carrington Street in West Wallsend was broken into.
Among the items that were stolen was a safe, containing the registered weapons.
Investigations are ongoing.
