TWO HORSES DEAD AFTER CRASH

Two horses have died and one person has been injured after a crash in the Hunter region.

Shortly before 7pm last night, three horses escaped from a property at Toronto making their way onto Wangi Road.

A car travelling on the road was unable to avoid the animals, striking and killing two of them.

The third horse continued running on Wangi Road and was struck by a second vehicle being driven by a 38 year-old Arcadia Vale man.

It ran into nearby bush land but was later found and treated for its injuries.

The 83-year-old male driver from Wangi suffered minor injuries, while his female passenger wasn’t hurt.

The driver of the second vehicle not injured.
