A Hunter farmer has given the big banks a piece of his mind during a Senate inquiry into banking competition.
George Phillips says he’s struggling to repay his mortgage and keep his worm-composting business afloat after NAB encouraged him to buy a $750,000 property.
And he claims he can’t get any help from the bank.
“I came here today to expose the banks for what I’d see they are, they’ve let me go through this financial crises, they couldn’t give too hoots on bound by contracts and I just have to keep on paying them.”
