TWO TEENS SICK AFTER CONSUMING LSD IN COFFS HARBOUR

A 15-year-old girl narrowly escaped death in Coffs Harbour after taking the drug LSD.

The girl had a bad reaction to the drug at a teenage birthday party in Boambee East on Saturday night.

At another party the same night at nearby Toormina, a 15-year old-boy also became very ill and had hallucinations after consuming a tab from the same batch of LSD.

The tabs have a tiny image of South Korean pop star Psy depicted on them.

Police Inspector Cameron Lindsay  said, “They are about 16 times stronger than what they would normally expect to be and we’re warning anyone that may have these tabs to destroy them.”

The girl is recovering in Coffs Harbour Hospital and the boy has been discharged.

An 18-year-old Toormina man has been charged with supplying a prohibited drug.
