COFFS HARBOUR DRIVER ALLEGEDLY ATTEMPTS TO EVADE POLICE AT R.B.T.

A female driver has allegedly sparked a police chase, after failing to stop for a random breath test on the mid north coast.

Police say they attempted to pull over a Hyundai Lantra on Harbour Drive in Coffs Harbour around 9:15pm yesterday, but it’s alleged the driver sped away when officers approached.

The car was eventually stopped on Victoria Street, following a short pursuit.

A 29-year-old woman was arrested and charged with a string of offences, including fail to comply with request or signal to stop, negligent driving, and drive with mid range PCA.

She will appear in court in May.
