A man has allegedly threatened hospital staff with a meat cleaver during a frightening hold up on the Central Coast yesterday.
Police say a man attended Wyong Public Hospital seeking treatment around five o’clock before held and threatened a female staff member with a meat cleaver.
A male staff member went to assist, but he was also allegedly held and threatened.
Police were called to the scene where the man, aged 28, was disarmed and arrested.
No one was injured during the incident.
The man was charged with a series of weapons and violence related offences, and will face court today.
