BIGENI DOES PORT PROUD IN SURFTAG

11 years after a car accident crushed his professional surfing dreams, Port Macquarie’s Kiel Bigeni has made an unlikely comeback.

Bigeni, who was left with a fused ankle and no shin bone, represented his home club at the national Surftag qualifying event in Newcastle.

“Overwhelmed mate, stoked to be with the boys like Scotty Lawrence, Mitchy V and the Howard brothers, it’s really good, really happy to get the call-up” Bigeni said.

The five-man team placed ninth overall, just outside the cut off for the Australian Championships.
