A record number of players will hit the field in this weekend’s Viking Football Challenge in Tuncurry.
The annual event has attracted more than 152 teams from across the country, to battle it out in the six-a-side tournament.
“The two champions from last year are both returning to defend their title, the women’s TBA we’ll be defending it for the fifth or sixth time so hoping someone will come up and challenge them,”
Games kick off at 8:30 Saturday morning, with finals to be played on Sunday afternoon.
