The flood event on the mid north coast has moved further south, with the Manning River receiving almost 200 millimetres of rain across the catchment overnight.
The SES has issued an evacuation warning for the Wingham Peninsula and low lying areas of Taree, with moderate flood levels expected by mid afternoon.
Evacuation centres have been set up at the PCYC and Taree High School.
