The clean up continues across the Hunter following last week’s cyclonic storm.
As of yesterday, the State Emergency Service had received 18,600 requests for help across the state since last Monday.
It says 70 per cent of the jobs have been completed.
Meanwhile 20,000 homes in the Hunter and 7,500 on the Central Coast are still without electricity.
Extra crews from Sydney have arrived to assist Ausgrid in restoring power to these homes.
