S.C.U STUDENT RECEIVES INDIGENOUS LAW AWARD
A Southern Cross University student’s been named Australia’s indigenous law student of the year.
Despite caring for seven children, single mum Johanna Byrne completed her degree in record time – amazing academics.
“Johanna’s more than just a good exam taker or assignment writer. She’s a genuine thinker – she’s a planner, she’s a developer.”
“The lecturers here have provided great support. I could have easily dropped out in my first year but if you want something bad enough, anything’s possible.”
Byrne was chosen over candidates from several other universities.
She’ll take up a graduate position with a top-tier law firm in Western Australia, later this year.
