The public is being asked to help identify a man, who was pulled from the water at Byron Bay yesterday afternoon.
Police say a woman was swimming at Belongil Beach around 4pm, when she noticed the man’s body floating nearby.
He was dragged from the water, but couldn’t be revived.
Belongings, including an older-style car key, was found at the beach but police have been unable to identify the man.
He’s described as between 65 and 75-years-old, about 175cm tall, of solid build with short grey balding hair.
