Tamworth Regional Council is set to consider a draft management plan for flying foxes at a general meeting on Tuesday night.
Having received a $50,000 state government grant last month, a plan is ready to be put into action once approved.
With 2,000 already believed to be roosting along the Peel River, and more on the way, it’s believed the removal of trees along the Bicentennial Park bank will help keep them away.
If approved the draft plan will go on public exhibition.
