BYRON COUNCIL WORKING FURIOUSLY TO REPAIR LANDSLIPS
Byron Council has been been working furiously to repair 12 roads in the shire badly damaged by landslips.
Additional staff were appointed to manage the mammoth task in February and since then progress has been good.
The only road still closed to traffic is Possum Shoot Road near Myocum.
Council doesn’t yet have a timeframe for when all of the sites will be completely repaired, estimating it will cost between five and $10 million in total.
