OUT OF CONTROL CAR TRAVELS OVER 100 METRES
A driver is lucky to be alive tonight, after his car travelled more than 100 metres through paddocks, before coming to rest upside down, outside a Hunter house.
The out-of-control Toyota careered through a fence, a paddock, another fence and a laneway, then wound up hitting the cottage at Farley, just after seven last night.
“He’s hit a chair and knocked the chair off the end and there’s a bumper bar up on top of the house. So it’s a fair impact”, said resident Kev O’Connor.
The house had to be stabilised before the male driver was cut out of the vehicle, and placed in an induced coma.
He’s in a stable condition in John Hunter Hospital.
