Police are investigating the cause of a fatal crash at Lake Macquarie.
A 59-year-old man from Mayfield was driving north along Lake Road at Glendale yesterday morning, when he crashed into a fence and a sign post.
A witness stopped to help until paramedics arrived.
The man was taken to John Hunter Hospital, but he couldn’t be revived.
