  1. Hi I’m only a young guys in his mid 30’s but wat the men shed means to the men that go there it means alot to them it a place for them to talk to other people and build stuff for there area and to enjoy getting older and if each other and helping others out some people need place like the men shed and the men shed need people that each help it the best thing if country has going for our fathers and and uncles and boys who can’t go to work but like to help other people out.I realy hope you can a good eye out for the group of people as the mens shed all around Australia and they need the help from everyone and if you don’t see the good these men do you need to have a good look at yourself

  2. Chris, I think that the Mens Shed organisation is a wonderful thing also. But I don’t agree with the proposed site of it in Boomerang park, there is another area in the park over near the old soccer fields that is far more fit for purpose, it is level and will allow much easier vehicular access. I think that with a bit of thought that we can have a men’s shed and also not have to sell off part of our lovely park. According to PS council the funds are already there for the shed so why is one dependent on the other. I am disappointed that as an opponent of selling off part of the park I am also portrayed as an opponent to the Men’s Shed. This is untrue, as I said earlier, I am 100% for a Men’s Shed in Raymond Terrace but I am also 100% against selling off parts of Boomerang Park
