BIG FINISH FOR THE WANDERERS TO END WARATAHS SEASON

In Newcastle and Hunter Rugby, Wanderers beat the Waratahs in this afternoon’s minor semi final.

The men in red hit the front early thanks to two Cameron Davies penalties.

Wanderers bounced back with a try to Cal McDonald, down the right.

The Tahs then scored a controversial five-pointer, as Davies dived over in the corner.

A try shortly before the break saw the visitors leading 18-10 at halftime.

But the Two Blues produced a miraculous finish, a late try to Dillon Rowney ensuring Wanderers will face Southern Beaches next Saturday, to vye for a place in the grand final.
