Summer has arrived with a vengeance.
Scorching temperatures reaching the low 40s have spread across the NW and Hunter.
The hot air will spread further north across the broadcast region over the 24 hours.
It will be a very hot night and the first Summer morning of the new season will be one you’d like to spend at the beach or local swimming hole.
Dangerous bushfire conditions will develop and linger until the change spreads north across the region on Sunday triggering some shower and storm activity.
The coast will be fanned by strong sea breezes kicking up a lot of chop so offshore boating getting very bumpy in the afternoon.
Hardly any swell for surfers but water temp is rising right along the coast making for good conditions for swimmers.
