FORMER OXLEY HIGH STUDENT ARRESTED IN RELATION TO 2012 FIRE
A 20-year-old man is behind bars after being charged over a fire which caused $12 million in damage to a Tamworth high school three years ago.
It’s alleged the former Oxley High School student broke in on March 18, 2012 before setting fire to the Castlereagh block.
He was arrested on Tuesday in Victoria, before being extradited to Sydney, where he was charged with a string of offences including arson, affray and larceny.
He’ll appear in Tamworth Local Court on June 29.
