LAST DITCH EFFORT FOR DIAMOND TO COMPETE AT RIO

Two-time gold medallist Michael Diamond will front the Australian Olympic Committee’s executive board in Sydney tomorrow, in a last-ditch effort to earn selection for Rio.
The 44-year-old had his shooting licence suspended after being charged with drink-driving and firearms offences in Port Stephens last month.
His case isn’t due back in court until July 25, which is after the AOC’s cut-off for team selection.
